Creating and sustaining improvement in New Jersey’s education system is at the heart of JerseyCAN’s work, and understanding families’ experiences is central to that improvement. When we take parents’ perspectives seriously across all communities and income levels, we are better equipped to focus on the challenges that matter most and the opportunities that can make the greatest difference for our students. With this in mind, we are excited to share the second edition of the Survey of Educational Opportunity in New Jersey.
Developed in partnership with 50CAN and Edge Research, this updated survey captures how families are experiencing the education system now, while also allowing us to see where views have shifted since the last edition, published in November 2024.
