EDUCATION — JerseyCAN, a nonprofit education advocacy group, published the second report in their “Reimagining the Educator Workforce” series on Wednesday. The group analyzed the needs of the state’s teachers in the face of Covid-19 and into the future. Among their recommendations are: a competitive grant program, a teacher apprenticeship program, a regular survey sent directly from the state Department of Education to teachers and students to gather feedback on the conditions for learning, regional master classes and a pilot program to allow district leaders to create their own model school calendar.
