Parent Champions for Strong Schools aims to bring together like-minded individuals to be active in bettering the quality of education in their communities and the state. This is a 7-week parent empowerment training program, which aims to provide parents with the tools and training to work with other parents and members of their community.
The Program:
The summer program begins on July 13 and will be conducted virtually. The training will be held once a week on Wednesday evenings through August 24th. Over the seven weeks, parents will be provided with training in the subject areas of advocacy, organizing, and policy.
The deadline to apply is June 20th.
Requirements:
Participants must:

- apply and be accepted into this program
- have a child, grandchild, or guardian in the New Jersey education system or in a private school
- attend at least 6 out of the 7 training sessions (Each session will be 1-1.5 hours)
- have a strong passion for advocacy and improving education
