JerseyCAN applauds Governor Christie’s step toward better serving NJ families

TRENTON, NJ—Today, Janellen Duffy, Executive Director of JerseyCAN: The New Jersey Campaign for Achievement Now, released the following statement on Governor Christie’s proposed charter school reforms:
“No child in New Jersey should have to wait for an excellent school. The regulatory changes proposed today will provide greater flexibility and innovation to support the growth of high-quality public charter schools, which families on waitlists across the state are demanding.
“We applaud the Governor’s efforts to expand high quality public charter schools, which, as he said, offers a lifeline to families in many cities and communities across the state.”
